A continuing dialogue through photography.

Deadbooks Online is a long-term exhibition project by Deadbooks Gallery. We welcome photographers and visual artists from around the world, at any stage of their practice. There is no fixed theme: we are interested in distinct ways of seeing, considered bodies of work, and the stories behind them.

Online presentation

Selected projects will be presented through the gallery’s online programme and shared as collaborative Instagram posts with the artist. We will discuss image selection, sequence, text and credits with you before publication.

Each year, we will select three artists from the submissions for a three-person exhibition at Deadbooks Gallery in Osaka. Participation in this exhibition is also free. Exhibition dates and individual arrangements will be discussed directly with the selected artists.

Credits & image use

Artists retain copyright to their work. Please submit work you are authorised to share. Image selection, artist credits and use for this project’s exhibition and promotion will be agreed with you before publication.
