Orpheus walked ahead, with Eurydice following close behind.

Together, they made their way along the long, dark road through the underworld. Yet he could not hear the footsteps of his beloved wife.

As the light of the exit drew nearer, unease began to take hold of his heart.

Is she really still behind me?

Have the gods deceived me?

At the very last moment, just before returning to the world of the living, he finally turned around.

In that instant, he saw Eurydice.

And Eurydice saw Orpheus once again.

But in that very moment, the pact with the god was broken.

Her figure slowly dissolved into the darkness, drawn once more into the depths of the underworld.

Legend has it that she left behind only one final word.
